This initiative is part of Bulgaria’s efforts to promote renewable energy development, providing financial support for projects aimed at building new renewable energy facilities and storage systems.
These projects are expected to help stabilize the energy system and reduce carbon emissions in line with the goals of the European Green Deal.
The Support for New Capacities for Renewable Energy Generation and Energy Storage with an Installed Capacity over 200 kW (Call 2) has been completed.

With the evaluation now complete, contracts will be signed with the approved candidates, who will receive funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. “Solarity” offers candidates renewable energy storage systems (industrial batteries), providing innovative solutions to optimize resources and reduce reliance on conventional energy sources. The company meets a key requirement for suppliers – compliance with standards: ISO 9001/14001/45001/27001.

BCWFI is the only official representative of employers in the Furniture, Woodworking, Manufacturing and supply of equipment and materials for the woodworking and furniture sectors.

Through its activities, BCWFI contributes to the development and consolidation of sectors furniture and woodworking such as:

K2 Ltd. is a highly capable company specilised in furniture design, manufacturing and project management.

The company has two manufacturing divisions. The first division is dedicated to the mass production of flat-pack furniture DIY style and the second division is focused on contract furniture projects.

// Description of the Good Practice
The production process incorporates a new system of drying wood strands at natural low temperature and making maximum use of recycled wood, thus dramatically reducing CVOCs.

The recycled material is cleaned, refined, analyzed and sorted. The rest of the material is used by our biomass cogeneration facilities and fully incorporated into the production process of the factory. In this way all the available material is utilised efficiently.

Thanks to newly-built combined heat and power plants we not only cover our own heating needs but more importantly we generate considerable electrical power. So as well as delivering high quality product that is fully recyclable, we can also supply electricity.

Through this circular economy concept we use recycled material to create a product that can itself be easily recycled and we also construct an entire technological “ecosystem” that benefits nature and society.

In the process of sourcing wood in their work, they have established clear priorities: 1st choice – recycled wood; 2nd choice – sawmill residue; 3rd choice – sustainable forestry wood.

The technological and professional capabilities of the company give them the ability to produce items with high complexity both in design and manufacturing in an eco-friendly way. Kronospan is working towards a more sustainable wood-based panel industry.

Wood-based panel production is a great way to introduce and maintain the principles of the circular economy. That means they can bring back into production a material that has already been used.

The factory creates technological and business environment that allows them to introduce the recycled wood in a wider product portfolio.
